Fingers crossed that I didn't look like this!

Well I wore the new skirt into the office and there was a joke about the weather changing since the ExecDir said she could see my ankles LOL  I will tell you that it was a change from the big flowing skirts I have been wearing with boots all winter.  My biggest concern was how my but looked in the skirt since I don't recall looking into the mirror to check it out.  I was concerned that I looked like Kim Kardashian walking away!

But Nash put that fear to rest!  As I was cooking some dinner with her and DentisT she simply said "you butt looks great in that skirt."  So I thanked her and continued cooking.  Problem solved :D

Next problem I am having is buying tops.  I know I am a particular size at Wally-Mart so I know to grab that and go.  Well I hit a larger Wally-Mart that has started carrying a different line of clothing and I grabbed the same size.  Well I got that one home and it is swimming!  I guess I am going to intentionally shrink this one so I don't slosh around in it.

I also quickly went quickly through the other closet to find some tops to wear with jeans that I can wear to the office.  Well I had quite a few that are a few more pounds away until I can wear them since there was a bit of a paunch at the tummy that didn't look right.  Now the DH suggested that I try them on with pants since they will sit differently.  But I figured that since the "trouble" area was above the pants I kept running to the mirror sans pants LOL

So since Friday is a day off from Therapy Dogs, I am going to take this time to purge the closet and the last unpacked bag that is under the DH's shirts.  I think there just might be stuff that I am going to be giving to the Sally Ann that might have price tags still on them!

Confession......

Okay I have lied.......remember that skirt I told you that I found a great deal on?  Well it wasn't a size 16, it was a 14!  I realized this today when I went to put the skirt on!

I guess I will be out shrinking this store soon too!

Phew I feel better with that off my chest :D  On to other updaty-ness!

I am at the point in my process that I was told that hair loss might be an issue.  Well all last week I plucking hairs off my shirt and cleaning out a bit more hair than normal from my hairbrush.  The reason for the hair loss could be a possibility of various factors of not enough protein and the body is sacrificing the output of protein to compensate, hormonal changes or just simple trauma and stress of the alteration of my surgery. So I have been diligently brushing my hair so that I can collect as much as I can an not have it all go down the drain in the shower.  This is can go on as little as a month or as long as 3 so I will have to see what my body has in store for me.  I am hoping for the one month so I am stepping up the protein by 10 grams so that I am hoping to keep my head of hair!

The other thing I wanted say is that I have reached the 50 pound mark of weight loss!  I am not sure if I will get to the "Century Club" but I think I would shock a lot of folks including myself ha ha.  So the DH got me these as a "proud of you" present.  He is soooo sweet and I am wondering what is in store for a hundred pounds :D

Tiny Tummy Eats

I am usually asked "what can you eat post surgery?" and I usually say "anything I like, but in smaller portions."

I was concerned yesterday about my eating since I felt like I was eating a lot and still couldn't get satisfied. I was getting distraught that I was stretching the tiny tummy and I didn't want to head down that slippery slope.  Well today I have been focusing in portion and protein and I feel like I am back in control again.

I was also have been eating bananas like they are going out of style recently.  I guess it is the next food craving I have to get through but I need to watch the moderation portion of it.  I have been eating 2 a day instead of protein first and the scale is beginning to reflect it again.  It is that little smack I need to wise up and stay on the narrow.

So I have been watching a blog http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.ca/ and she has a bento box that she eats from and I have been getting a few ideas to change up my lunch a bit.  She has roast beef wrapping a dill pickle for lunch and I am not a fan of dill pickle so I decided to come up with my own.  I have wrapped a gherkin pickle and a cheese string in chicken breast lunch meat.

I am able to get 10 grams of protein in with 4 of these little guys and with my tapioca I am set!  I see this in my rotation for lunches!

Too tiny!

Well I had to get some new clothes.  For most gals this is more than a good reason to go shopping but I was feeling a little discouraged.  I really don’t know what size I am anymore since the clothes I have are hand me downs from Miss A and who knows if she had sewn any of them and also after numerous washings I am sure that they might have shrunk.  Either way, some of her skirts are slipping off my hips or they simply look too big when I look in the mirror.  So I decided to hit up the charity shops and the liquidation centres since there was no point on paying full price for something that I will “shrink” out of in a few months.
So after my woes I had after my session with Susanne I bit the bullet and headed to Oakville on Thursday.  I was having training in the area and since we got out early and I was meeting the Edge and GG until 6 I thought I would hit 2 plus sized stores that were near the restaurant.
I strolled into Additional-Elle that is sized 14+ and thought that there has to be hope here.  I asked if they had any long black skirts and I was told that they had a few.  The sales girl eyed me up and down and tried to guess what size I was.  She first brought me an size that seemed right only to find that it was too big.  I did like the style and the material and asked if they had it in a size smaller.  Well it got tot he point that they couldn't go any smaller because the store didn't carry it!  I had shrunk to the point that nothing fit!
So I headed off to the other store and thought it is worth a shot and if I have shrunk out of this store I will be dead impressed with myself LOL.  I walked in and asked the same question and the sales girl went nuts!  I think I tried abut 26 skirts and some of them I didn't even try on since I didn't like the material or the style.  Once everything was said and done I found 2 skirts that put me in the second to smallest sizes for this store and I went to cash out.  I found out that both skirts were on sale and came to less than $40 after taxes!
So I headed over to the restaurant with my purchases and was excited to see GG and the Edge.  The Edge was so happy about my size that she said "come here and let me hug the skinny girl!"  I was glad that she noticed a difference so I am sure the DoxyLover will be impressed when I see her soon too.
After hanging with the gals on Thursday I saw Montgomery on Friday since I had 4 boxes of cereal that TP brought up from Buffalo.  While she was over I showed her the skirts I bought and she all of a sudden had a look of shock on her face. I found out that the one skirt I had bought on Thursday had the original price tag of $145 and I got it for $20!  I didn't even notice the original price just the sale price when I bought it.  I guess I won't be going back to that 14+ for a full price item :)
